Some toys really are just for Christmas. Tommy is pretty sure that the new Air Swimmers remote control shark and clownfish will be a massive smash hit Christmas toy for 2011, but will they still be a big hit in years to come? Well only time will tell, but for now come and find out why these RC flying shark and clownfish are making big waves in the toy loving community.
I’ll admit, straight up, that when I first heard about Air Swimmers I was seriously sceptical that there could be any fun to be had from a remote controlled flying shark. An RC World War 2 blimp, now that makes sense, or the fantastic Syma RC Helicopter, these are flying vehicles that appeal to me but a flying fish…why? I’m ashamed to say I forgot the fist golden rule of reviewing toys…think like a kid! Clearly this isn’t something that the makers of Air Swimmers could be accused of. I’ve watched the excellent video of these Air Swimmers and I’ve seen one live (so to speak) and now I’m…hooked!
These RC toys are inspired once you realise how to use them. Essentially use them anywhere indoors and you can turn that room or space into an indoor aquarium. These Air Swimmers are surprisingly agile and quick in their movements which mean with practise you can get them to swim around the whole of your house, around doorways, down corridors, upstairs and around any room. To say they are very realistic may be pushing it a bit but there’s no doubting that with their swishing tails and photograph quality looks they are real enough to grab and hold your attention.

And why a shark and a clown fish? Well put simply one scares the bejesus out of kids and adults alike and the other is the hero of a rather successful animated movie. So whether you’re trying to get a scream or a smile out of your kids then one of these Remote Control fish is going to get the job done.
