Fangpyre Mech Ninjgao Lego Set Review

This great Ninjago Lego set reminds me a lot of the Mech monster in one of the Robocop movies, huge and dangerous. Of course that Mech didn’t have the added bonus of looking like a large snake! I’ve said it in other reviews, for the Fangpyre Wrecking Ball and the Fangpyre Truck, but I’ll say it again, the design team at Lego have really excelled themselves with the new Ninjago sets.

The Fangpyre Mech towers over any of the mini figures and is packed with great features. You can place a Fangpyre mini figure into the cockpit of this beast and from there they will attack our ninja heroes in various ways. The Mech has ball socket joints so you can move its arms and legs into almost any position, a swipe here or a stamp there and you’re done for. The grabbing pincers at the ends of its arms are just right for crushing the life out of a ninja and if they don’t get you then watch you don’t get sliced by the sharp snake fangs at the front end. And finally don’t think you’re safe just because you’re not within arm’s reach, the Mech has a flick missile system to take you out at long range.

Fangpyre Mech Fang Suei and Ninjago Cole

All these new Lego sets appear in the new Ninjago cartoon series and with this set you can pretend that you are Ninjago Cole, mini figure included, and are trying to wrestle the legendary Golden Fangpyre Staff out of the grip of the slippery Fang Suei. Now for some reason, that I would like explained, Fang Suei comes equipped with, not a sword, not a spear but a…banana! I can only assume that when you have the Mech at your disposal you don’t need any other weapons. Hopefully that will be his downfall.

Ninjago Cole on the other hand has wisely bought a very brutal looking golden scythe; let’s just hope it can make a dent in the Mech’s armour.

Best Price for the Lego Ninjago Fangpyre Mech

The list price for this super cool toy is $24.99 which Tommy thinks is a great price for this 255 piece set, however at the time of writing this was a very hard set to find and you might find prices are significantly higher due to lack of stock. We’ve found that Amazon usually offer great deals, so to check current stock and prices click the “Click Here For More Info” button below.
