What could be more important than making sure your kids get the excersise they need to grow up big and strong? Nothing as far as Tommy is concerned. That’s why we love the Fisher-Price range of sports equipment for kids and in particular this Grow to Pro Basket ball hoop that means your child is never to young to start dunking hoops. Introduce your child to sports early with the Fisher Price Grow to Pro Basketball set.
Check out the photo…how cute! Not all kids are sporty, and that’s a fact, but how will you know unless you give them the opportunity? Besides all kids like to throw things around, so why not get them outside throwing a basketball at a hoop instead of letting them running riot indoors?
Adjustable Basketball Hoop
To be clear this is not a lifetime baskball hoop, as the maximum height is six foot. However as soon as your child can stand up and throw a small baskeball they can start to use this adjustable baskeball hoop which will grow as they grow. The manufactures recommend this hoop form age 2 to 5, but Tommy reckons it has value after this age unless your six year old is incredibly tall. Tommy wasn’t a very tall kid and could definetly have got some milage out of this baskeball set until he was eight pushing on nine!
Grow to Pro Basket ball
Ok so the “Grow to Pro” may be a bit of an exaggeration, it’s unlikely they’ll be playing in the NBA by five. That doesn’t mean however that this fisher price hoop is a flimsy toy for boys. It is defiantly a serious piece of sporting equipment for toddlers and young children. In fact be prepared to take sometime assembling this beauty. The instructions are clear but certainly require some patience and a little skill, perhaps even two parents working together. The effort is worth it and once constructed it becomes clear that this kids basketball hoop is sturdy and will withstand anything your kids can throw at it.
Fisher Price Basketball Set Features
There are four height settings, 3,4,5 and 6 feet and, as with all freestanding equipment, the most important thing is they don’t fall over which isn’t a problem with the Fisher-Price Grow-to-Pro Basketball set as it has a base than can take 50 pounds of sand or water. Bring the hoop indoors in the winter if you’re using water so that it doesn’t freeze.
Another nice optional feature is the ball return scoop that can be easily added, or not, and means the ball always returns to the smae place which saves toddlers getting frustrated at continually having to retrieve the ball. Of course this only works when your child actually makes a shot!
Tommy’s Toys has added the Fisher-Price Grow-to-Pro Basketball to his top 10 list of boys toys but clearly this adjustable basketball hoop is great for boys and girls alike and, indeed, the whole family.
