Nerf Vortex Proton Blaster Review
Just when all hope seems lost and you’re cornered with a foe moving in for the kill you pull out your Nerf Vortex Proton, ready loaded with one shot, lean out from behind your cover and take the sucker down! Or something like that. The Nerf Vortex single shot Proton is the cheapest of the Nerf Vortex series of guns and, in my view, completes the range very nicely. This is definitely an additional toy gun for you to take into battle as a back up or in special circumstance. The fact that it is smaller than the other Vortex guns means that you can quite comfortably carry it around with you as well as a larger weapon like the Nerf Vortex Nitron or Nerf Vortex Praxis.
Why Buy the Nerf Vortex Proton?
And while it only takes one Nerf disc at a time in Tommy’s opinion this is the coolest looking of the Nerf Vortex series. It really lends itself to the futuristic look that runs through all four guns in the Vortex range. And despite its small size it still slings out its single shot with the same velocity as the other Vortex gun. If you’re creeping up on your opponent with the intention of taking him out with one shot then remember please no aiming at the head from close range!
The way the Nerf Vortex Proton reloads from the back is pretty cool and if you intend to get plenty of use out of this pistol, as with the other guns, do yourself a favour and buy yourself some extra ammo. You’ll need to be inventive when it comes to carrying extra ammo around as theirs no clip for this toy gun. If I had to choose two of the Nerf Vortex guns I’d go for Nerf Proton and Nerf Praxis.
